In the 1960s, he expanded Krinos into Canada, becoming the largest importer and distributor of Greek foods on the continent. With a strong presence in Montreal and Toronto, Krinos quickly became a household name—synonymous with the best of Greek food and Mediterranean flavours.


As the company grew, it continued to evolve, driven by the same passion for quality and authenticity. One key chapter in the Krinos story came with the expertise of Manolis Georgantelis, a skilled cheesemaker from Greece, who brought his knowledge and love for feta cheese to Edmonton. With a mission to create the finest feta, he helped establish Krinos as Canada’s first producer of organic feta, using premium Canadian cow’s and goat’s milk from local farms.
