What is Transparent Pricing?
We're rolling out Transparent Pricing on every product on Tre'dish. We check the prices of these items every couple of days at the Big-3 Grocery stores, and take the average price at local stores in the GTA. This gives you a guide to how much you'd pay if you were to shop with them versus us.
How can I see the pricing?
On every product, via the website or app, you will see how much you're saving (or not) right on the product itself. We're all about grocery transparency, so we'll even tell you when you're we're expensive! Over an average basket, we aim to save you up to 25%, even if some products don't win.
If you tap into a product, we'll show you the average price at the Big-3, and how much you save – and we'll add this up for you in your cart and checkout too!

How do we save you money?
We have lots of ways to save you money! First, we're only found online. This means we don't have expensive rent or mortgages to pay for in the city centre, and the cost to run our business is much lower than a traditional grocery store.
Secondly, where possible, we go direct to local farmers, grocers and wholesalers. This means we cut out the middlemen who add 5-15% onto the price.
Thirdly, we cut down on excessive packaging cost – and don't even print our own logo on our box! We believe fresh, affordable groceries are a right, not a luxury - and don't want to pass the cost of marketing our brand onto our customers.

Why do we compare to the Big 3?
At Tre'dish, we pride ourselves on quality. We have very strict quality assurance, and only buy top-tier produce. This is the same quality (sometimes even better!) than you'd find at the Big-3, so we feel this is the best comparison. You'll often find we ship organic produce at the same cost as regular, thanks to our local farmers!
We're not a typical discount grocer – we don't ship you old, undesirable products that the big stores rejected. We ship the best, and pass on the savings we find by keeping our costs low, and working out great deals with our partners.
How do I know you're using the right comparison?
We carefully monitor prices accross the GTA, and have a small team of staff who validate and spot-check items regularly to ensure we are as accurate as possible. Sometimes, where an exact match cannot be found, we follow these rules:
Is there a different size we can compare to? E.g. we sell 454g ground beef, but another store may sell 908g. We will compare to this product and pro-rata the price.
Is there another place we can find this product? Sometimes, we'll compare to the discount grocers anyway, as this might be the place most of our customers would go and shop for it.
Is there a similar product, of identical quality, that we can compare to instead?

Will I still save if I shop at discount grocers?
Usually, yes! While we compare to the Big-3, as our quality matches or exceeds theirs, we still check prices at discount grocers. Our meat and produce often beats even these stores, and our pantry items are usually price matched. While you may not save 25%, we typically don't see customers spend more – and they get far better quality in return.
We also have a far wider range of products, from cheap cuts of chicken, all the way up to Prime and Wagyu, meaning you can shop a wider variety than you'd find at the store. And it comes right to your door!
We encourage you to compare some of our prices, especially our meat and see how much you could still save.
Why are some products "Tre'dish Exclusive"?
These products, typically, cannot be found at any major grocery store. For example, our Gryfe's bagels come direct from Gryfe's original store, and we are their only online retailer. We don't claim to save you money on these items, but you're usually in for a treat when you purchase them!.
